Time

  • Pick up available from your central Rotorua accommodation
  • If self driving, the meeting point for the Wairoa River is a grass paddock above the Power Station (it has a driveway entrance on the river side of the road) at 1378 State Highway 29, Tauriko, Lower Kaimai 3171
What To Bring
  • Please bring a towel, swimwear and warm, dry clothes for after your raft
Additional Information
  • This rafting experience is not affected by the weather. Rare events in which extensive rainfall is received in the catchment, flooding can occur, and the river can become too high to commercially raft
  • A minimum of 4 participants is required for trips to run. A total of 6 participants fit in each raft, along with their expert guide. Up to 30 people can be accommodated.
  • All guides are handpicked, highly skilled professionals that come from an extreme whitewater background in Kayaking and Rafting.
  • This is an exciting grade 5 rafting experience and is NOT suited for older or bigger people, or people that aren't comfortable in the water. We have a weight limit of 120 kgs.
Terms And Conditions
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required as this is a challenging river
  • Participants must be 13 years of age or older
  • Not suitable for pregnant women
  • Max recommended weight is 120 kg's (or around 250 pounds)
  • Not recommended for non swimmers
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
